Subscription
How does the free trial work?
New subscribers get 7 days of esther Premium free. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your yearly subscription starts and Apple charges your Apple ID. We’ll remind you before your trial ends if notifications are on.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap esther, then Cancel Subscription.
You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel your subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, find esther and choose “Request a refund”.
I subscribed but esther isn’t unlocked
Open esther, go to Profile, then tap Restore purchases. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If it still doesn’t work, email us.
Your account
How do I sign in on a new iPhone?
Install esther and tap Continue with Apple using the same Apple ID. Your saved items and reading plans come back automatically.
How do I delete my account?
In esther, go to Profile → Delete account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, saved items and reading plans. It can’t be undone. Remember to also cancel your subscription in Settings if you have one.
Reading plans
How do I change my plan?
Go to the Learn tab and tap Edit plan. You can add or remove reads, change their order, and change your reading days, time per day or reminders. Your plan is rescheduled from your next reading day.
How do I add an article from the web?
- In Safari (or another app), open the article and tap the Share button.
- Tap esther. If you don’t see it, scroll to the end of the app row, tap More and turn esther on.
esther adds the link to your current plan as three 20-minute sessions spread across the weeks ahead. If you don’t have a plan, it’s kept for your next one.
I’m not getting reminders
- Check that reminders are on for your plan: Learn → Edit plan → Reminders.
- Check that notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings → Notifications → esther.
- Focus modes and Do Not Disturb can hold notifications back. Allow esther in your Focus settings.
